A devoted husband to Carey and proud father of six, Jon has built a successful career while remaining deeply connected to the communities that have shaped both his family and his work.
Jon’s roots in construction began in China Spring, just outside of Waco, where he grew up and graduated from high school. It was there that he was first introduced to building and the construction trades, laying the foundation for a career that would eventually span residential, commercial, and large-scale institutional construction.
Throughout his career, Jon has been involved in more than $100 million in construction projects within the Texas A&M University System, with experience spanning structural concrete, metal framing, drywall, project management, residential framing, remodeling, additions, repairs, and new construction. His practical, solution-driven approach and attention to detail have earned him a reputation for dependable service and quality workmanship.
For more than a decade, Jon R. Cox, General Contractor LLC has proudly served homeowners and clients throughout Bryan, College Station, and the surrounding Brazos Valley. Now, JRC is expanding its services into McLennan County and the greater Waco area — a move that feels much more like coming home than entering a new market.
